When preparing for a job interview, there are plenty of things which need to be considered.

No matter what sort of job you are applying for, it is always best to wear sensible clothing, read up on the company, prepare a list of possible questions and answers etc.

However, in the world of telesales recruitment, there are plenty of other considerations which candidates might not necessarily need to make in other industries.

This article presents three tips to prepare for a telesales-based job interview.

Enunciating

Speaking clearly is an important part of telesales and employers may be looking for signs that you can do this during the job interview. Practice enunciating your words in front of a mirror to ensure that you do so during the interview process.

Commitment

Most telesales companies experience a relatively high turnover of staff and it can cost them quite a bit to keep recruiting new staff. For this reason, employers are keen to hire not only the most skilled candidates but also those who may be likely to stay with them for some time.

Think of three reasons why you would be happy to stay with the employer for a long time and make sure to mention them on the day.

Sell Yourself

Telesales companies are always on the lookout for candidates with great sales skills and there is no better way of showing this than by confidently selling your own skills during the job interview.

Prepare for the interview by thinking of your five best qualities and practice describing how they would benefit the employer. This is likely to demonstrate that you are more than ready to help sell their product over the phone.

Of course, employers will take everything about you into consideration including facts that you are unable to control such as your experience and qualifications.

However, by following the tips above, candidates for a telesales job are likely to increase the odds of being chosen for a vacant role.

Case IH has just unraveled the ins and outs of the way they are going to get in line with EPA’s strict engine emissions limits policy that are to be implemented in 2014. Those limits, referred to as Tier 4, require a 90% reduction in particulate matter and nitro oxides (NOx) if compared with the Tier 3 regulations that came into being a few years ago.

The company intends to use the same Selective Catalytic Reduction technology (SCR), that is being used to comply with the Tier 4 interim requirements, implemented this year and valid for all high-horsepower tractors. SCR is an engine exhaust after-treatment system that works outside the engine within the exhaust system. It treats the engine fumes the moment they leave the engine. New Holland and AGCO have already been using that technology so as to come up to Tier 4 interim standards.

The companies which use SCR, state that the technology is not only effective in the way it treats emissions, but also in improving fuel economy accompanied by cutting down the costs of maintenance. As the Case IH spokesperson says, treating exhaust so as to eliminate NOx, just as it exits the engine, allows the engine to perform at its top efficiency.

What is worth noticing, Deere has made a similar announcement about Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (CEGR), the technology used by the company to get in line with the above mentioned Tier 4 interim emission standards. Yet, unlike the SCR technology, CEGR treats the fumes before they reach the exhaust. It redirects the exhaust back through the engine and burns away the particulate matter in a process called regeneration.

Case IH’s official statement is so essential for the automotive industry, because by far most engine producers have agreed that in order to meet 2014 Tier 4 The ultimate standards, including a combination of SCR and EGR technologies will be needed. Case IH announces that with the use of SCR, there will not be any additional requirements for Case IH clients who have bought interim Tier 4 equipment today.

Videos are uploaded on the internet every minute of the day, through various sites, the most prominent of which is of course YouTube. Millions of people watch videos every single day and the success of commercial videos is all down to online PR as well as the ‘shareability’ factor. So what is it about these videos that makes the world want to watch them and gives them viral status?

YouTube is the most major video hosting site and is used by people across the world. A great viral example is the Cadbury gorilla advert which received 500,000 views within the first week of going live and now has been viewed around six millions times from several different video sharing sites.

Although the viral factor is hard to pinpoint there are some key things that all popular videos have in common:

Content: The content of your video must be strong; you should consider how you are going to communicate your message creatively. At the end of the day people have to be interested in your subject to want to watch it.

Short and to the point: Make your video short but engaging – no longer than 2 minutes is a good guideline to keep the viewer interested. Think quality rather than quantity.

ALERT everyone you know: Send out a message and link to anyone and everyone you know about the video, spreading the message across the social web. By posting on social networks, friends of friends will get the chance to check out the video, and share with their friends and so on. Promoting videos through online PR requires partnerships with bloggers and key online influencers to go truly viral.

Kent is a great place to set up a business. It provides fantastic access to several continental ports including Sheerness, Dover and Ramsgate. It also has its own international airport and convenient road links to London.

Soon, it will also be one of the fastest broadband cities in the UK too, thanks to a new government initiative for homes and businesses. Add that to the innumerable business villages and industrial parks and you’ve really got a great place to set up your business.

From what has already been stated though, you may have the impression that your firm doesn’t quite match up to the scale of what Kent can offer you. Well, on the contrary, it’s actually a perfect place in which to start small and think big. Even when it comes to warehousing, Kent can offer sizes for all enterprises.

Here’s just a few examples of what even a small commercial warehousing facility could be used for or turned into.

Warehousing clearly lends itself towards being a long-term storage solution if you don’t want to do anything with it. If you have a lot of equipment or are in a period of transition, then it can be a great asset even just temporarily.

Increasingly warehousing is also being used for online firms who distribute goods either nationally or internationally. There are hundreds of websites now that operate out of them, like Amazon, Firebox, Play.com and so on.

In fact, some retailers that would have otherwise collapsed on the high street now successfully operate mail order businesses only. Computer automation and low-overheads mean conducting business in a warehouse can be highly profitable.

Another time where a warehouse might be appropriate is when dealing directly with traders or business-to-business clients. These relationships are based more on the value of the goods and their eventual markets rather than how flashy their current surroundings are.

But this doesn’t mean that you couldn’t sell direct to customers either. Think about stores like Makro and Ikea. Essentially these companies just sell their products from within a giant warehouse and they are both incredibly successful. Actually, in some ways many customers may prefer this ‘open’ shopping experience over the high street.

Just remember that although the word ‘warehouse’ may bring a large and empty cavernous space to mind, it doesn’t have to be this way. Expand as you will, and rely on the logistical benefits of Kent to propel your business forward.

The country’s current economic recovery is shaky, which means that businesses are struggling to stay afloat. But a business needs to do much more than just stay afloat. Driving growth should be the main focus, even in tough economic times. Using B2B (business-to-business) strategies can help you orchestrate customer interactions that will keep your best customers, and perhaps even attract new ones.

If you’re not familiar with B2B, don’t get discouraged; it’s a method that helps businesses improve sales and other profit centers. B2B marketing often involves techniques like direct mail, branding overhaul, website redesign and SEO. There are online education programs to teach business owners the details of B2B, but the basics don’t require dedicated learning time.

Of course, both individuals and businesses are cutting back on spending; this means that businesses have to find cost-effective ways to reach your audience. Using a few B2B marketing methods can give you an affordable edge with customers.

Reward your regulars

First, identify the customers who are your bread and butter. These are the people who help you maintain your bottom line, the customers you can count on to purchase your products or services on a regular basis. Concentrating your first direct marketing efforts on this group of customers will save you time and money, and your customers are sure to remember special treatment. Consider direct mailings, personalized e-mails or phone calls or even small gifts that allow you to thank customers for their continued business.

B2B and F2F

Many small businesses struggle to maintain personal relationships with their customers whether it’s a matter of time, money or other resources. They often have to work to keep frequent customers happy. Consider hosting a breakfast, lunch or a reception for your loyal client base. For a couple of hours and a few hundred dollars in refreshments, you’ll gain valuable face time. If time is too precious, consider a special sale on products or services. It’ll still cost a bit of money, but the investment could be returned in repeat business. For web-savvy clients, a microsite can serve as a “VIP section.”

Check-ups and new intros

The last step is one of the most important: following up with customers after a transaction is a crucial element of maintaining customer contact. This can be as simple as an e-mail asking them to rate their last transaction or a phone call to see how they enjoyed their last business transaction. And remember that a little positive attention goes a long way—happy customers tell friends and associates about good business experiences, which could add up to new customers for you. Pay attention to regular customers who send you new business contacts. Spending a little time introducing yourself to those people could lead to more repeat customers.

With the changing advertising landscape, businesses have to work hard to stay ahead of the game. Just a few extra minutes on B2B marketing can help your business grow, even in tough financial times.

The railway is not only a useful way of travelling across the UK and beyond, it has also created thousands of jobs throughout the country.

There are so many tasks involved with creating an efficient rail system that there is likely to be a job on a railway suitable for nearly anyone.

This article looks at the variety of jobs created by the existence of a national railway.

Construction

Many rail jobs involve the construction and maintenance of train stations and of the railway itself. This can involve long projects and can therefore create an awesome sense of satisfaction once completed. A lot of rail construction jobs have unsocial hours in order to avoid interrupting peak services, but are well-paid compared to the average construction job.

Train drivers

Train driving jobs are extremely popular and therefore very hard to get. Because of the safety of so many people is in the hands of a train driver, the training is intensive but the pay is arguably representative of the responsibility involved.

Needless to say, there is plenty of travel involved with train driving jobs; especially for those involved with cross-country or international journals and this can be part of the appeal for the majority of applicants.

Train stations

There are other 5,000 train stations in the UK, including those on the London Underground. All of these stations require a large amount of ticket officers, cleaners and people to staff the shops/other facilities inside. Many of the top retailers have shops in the majority of major train and underground train stations.

There are plenty of opportunities for progression working on the rails, whilst the pay is as competitive as similar jobs elsewhere in the UK.

Those with a keen interest for travel, customer service and helping people with travel could certainly do a lot worse than apply for jobs on the railway.

Promotional calendars are a valuable and attractive advertising tool. Whilst brochure and business card printing is effective, it lacks the utility of a calendar. On line printing services can produce an effective and useful calendar for an inexpensive price.

There are many advantages of producing a promotional calendar

· Calendars are used constantly

· A calendar can highlight important business events such as sales

· A calendar is a visual reminder of products or services

· A calendar creates good will with customers

· A calendar creates good will with business contacts and vendors.

1. Calendars Are Used Constantly.

The primary advantage of using a calendar as a promotional tool is that it is useful. Calendars are products which the consumer will reuse continually. For example, a good calendar will have space for planning activities. The customer will use this throughout the year.

Printing services will help a business design an effective calendar. A well designed one will highlight the company’s contact and service details in an attractive and prominent way. With the calendar being constantly used, the customer will be exposed to a regular reminder of the enterprise’s contact details and services.

2. A Calendar Can Highlight Important Business Events.

A business card is an effective marketing tool, but the information it conveys is minimal. A calendar, however, has space to include details of sales and products in a unique way. A calendar that includes the company’s sales dates, for example, a financial year sale, will be a reminder to the customer to visit the store during that period.

3. A Calendar is a Visual Reminder of Goods and Services

A good calendar is beautifully designed in addition to being useful. Clear photographs of products or services are a visual reminder of these to the customer on a daily basis. It is important to use good quality pictures to enhance the attractiveness of the business to the consumer. A pleasing image will do much to encourage more sales.

4. A Calendar Creates Good Will with Customers

A calendar is more highly valued than a catalogue or flyer because of its usefulness. The production of a company calendar which is distributed to clients or customers therefore creates more good will than a business card or flyer. The calendar is seen as a reward for loyalty and encourages further loyalty to the brand. It is an excellent way to develop a productive relationship with consumers.

5. A Calendar Creates Good Will with Business Associates

A calendar is a personal gift that creates good will with business associates or vendors. The gift of a calendar at Christmas is a useful way to cultivate contacts. It is a gift that suggests a valued relationship and this in turn creates positive feelings about the business connection.

Calendars are a useful and decorative advertising tool much as the same as business card printing is used. They are a constant reminder of the business and create good will with customers and business contacts. A good printing company which provides high quality printing services can produce effective and attractive calendars which will enhance sales and brand reputation.

Learning management should be an all encompassing discipline that appeals to all levels of learners and kinds of employee.

It’s important to realise that each person learns in a different way. These types of learner can roughly be broken down into three traditional categories: visual learners, auditory learners and kinaesthetic learners.

The most effective training sessions will appeal to all three of these types throughout the session so to engage the whole audience and ensure that they walk away learning something.

Visual learners are known to best relate to information when it is written down. This could be in the form of a hand-out onto the table, or a projected image onto a whiteboard for example. They can be characterised easily if they struggle to retain information without keeping notes. While when disseminating a text, they will highlight important facts or use annotations to help them remember.

Auditory learners respond best to verbal instructions. They are most likely to be engaged with a spoken presentation as opposed to heavy lines of text and will equally perform well under spoken pressure themselves. This kind of learner may benefit from lessons that are recorded as podcasts or streamed over the internet post-session.

The kinaesthetic person is the one who prefers to get involved in group activities that actively learns by imitating the lesson for real. Repeated instances of this behaviour will instil the knowledge in their mind. Team-building and games-based learning are most effective for reaching out to this learner. Role plays, for example, are going to be favoured over all other kinds of teaching.

After exploring these categories of learners, it is plausible that a teaching session could be plotted to encompass all three.

An introduction could consist of some printed slideshow notes (visual) on the table ready for the class whilst the instructor introduces themselves. They could then run through a projected presentation while feeding back (auditory) and questioning the listeners throughout. At the end of a specific section, a game such as a match the topic sentences-type-affair could be laid out (kinaesthetic) for the participants to complete.

Getting on the first step of the property ladder is a difficult process. No bones about it, it’s a tough market - but very achievable. After all, thousands of first-time buyers do it every year. Whether you’re looking at a variety of new homes Kings Hill in Kent harbours some of the most desirable new homes in the UK at the moment – or previously-owned homes, first-time buyers have to go through a number of money-building stages before moving in.

The first step to make would be to gather up a deposit. The bigger deposit you stump up, the better access you receive to best-value loans. Simple as that! The minimum deposit to hand over would be around 10 per cent of the property value but you can hand over much more if you have the financial clout to do so.

The pros of handing over a large deposit chunk would be a lower APR. For example, if you submit a 10 per cent deposit for a potential home, the APR on a mortgage would be around six or seven per cent. However, a 25 per cent deposit on a property would get you a three – four per cent APR mortgage.

On the other hand, some first-time buyers stroll into the bank of Mum and Dad to seek help when purchasing a property. Some banks offer a scheme where they lend four times’ the salary of the buyer or four times the salary of mum and dad, minus their mortgage repayments. So, if the parents earned £45,000 a year and paid £3,000 a month in mortgage payments, the bank would lend four times’ £42,000, plus one times’ the child’s income. This is helpful to those struggling to stump up further cash.

In all, the first step to getting on the ladder is one of the toughest – gathering up the funds. However, once you’ve got the cash available, purchasing should be – in essence – plain sailing.
