It may seem unbelievable, but Skoda Superb, having been tuned by Rothe Motorsport, is almost twice as powerful as the strongest version of Czech’s limo, produced in series. It is able to speed up from 0 to 100 km/h, which is as fast as Ferrari 599 GTB HGTE.

On the first glance, Skoda Superb resembles one of the ordinary Czech’s limos designed for people who cannot afford Volkswagen, or do not want to pay excessively for the VW model. However, don’t be mislead by the plain design of the car as it has the 514 HP, acquired with the 7045 RPM. The torque, ranging from 3350 to 6000 turns equals 600 Nm. It’s all due to the 3.2 V6 engine from Volkswagen Golf R32, which has been subjected to serious modifications. The effects include the ability of speeding up from 0 – 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and from 0 – 200 in 13.2 seconds. The vehicle reaches its maximum speed in 300 km.

All over the world there are enthusiasts of the tuned models, however there are also some voices of skepticism which point out that, despite of its extraordinary features, Skoda Superb is too expensive for the quality it offers. That is why, all those happy Skoda fans, who are willing to pay for the new model over 81 thousand euro have to know, that you can purchase a Mercedes or BMW for the same price.

All the motorization fans will be pleased with the news that by the end of this year, Renault is going to introduce a special edition of the currently existing Renaultsport Clio generation. The whole series has been given a peculiar name of "Ange Et Demon", which in English means "Angels And Demons". And it is not only the name that gives the customers the insight into the mysticism: the number of the cars that will be released have been manufactured in the number of 666 units. Those who may not know what these numbers are juxtaposed with, would dread to find out that 666 is said to be the symbol of the Beast, in the Book of Revelation. On top of it all, the cars are scheduled for sale on All Hallow’s Eve.

The Clio RS 200 Angel And Demons series can boast a fancy design and sharp look. It is a 200 bhp, 2.0-litre hatch offering a wide selection of special features and applications. Renault company is going to introduce the limited number of vehicles to the UK later this year. They will be accessible in three colors (two in mat): Frost Pearl, Toro Red Mat and Hologram Grey Mat. A gloss black finish was added to the diffuser and the rear spoiler, the front bumper and the roof. The whole limited edition will be equipped with black, 18-inch Interlagos wheels, featuring red Brembo brake calipers.

All models will be powered by the standard RS Clio 200 bph, 2.0-litre petrol engine and six-speed manual box combination and they will have a numbered plaque with rev counter, similar to those that Gordini models have. They will be also fitted with a red midpoint, a stitched dashboard and the RS gear knob.

Whether you are planning your next vacation or wanting to explore America with no boundaries, there are some sights that were meant to be seen from the seat of a motorcycle. Here is a list of some of the most beautiful, or challenging, roadways that will surely capture your heart.

5. Blue Ridge Parkway

Spanning 469 miles and winding its way through North Carolina and Virginia, the Blue Ridge Parkway is the most visited unit in the United States National Park System. Construction of the highway took over 52 years to complete and was created to connect Shenandoah National Park with the Great Smoky Mountain National Park system. Also known as “America’s Favorite Drive”, this highway was meant to be enjoyed at a relaxing pace, soaking up the aromas of the wild flowers, the crisp air rushing across a waterfall, and the never ending mountains and skies. Early fall is the most popular time to travel this road as the high elevations and cool temperatures start to change the foliage and the colors of crimson and gold take over the trees.

4. Hana Highway

Located in Maui, the “Road to Hana” contains 68 miles of natural rainforest connecting Kahului with the town of Hana. Most of the concrete and bridges that make up this route are original, dating back to 1910. There are approximately 620 hairpin curves and 46 one lane bridges.

3. Going-to-the-Sun Road

Completed in 1932, this is the only road that goes through the heart of Glacier National Park, spanning 53 miles and crosses the Continental Divide. At its highest elevation of 6,646 ft., also known as Logan’s Pass, through the cedar forests and mirror-like glacial lakes, this is one ride that should definitely be on the bucket list. Due to the amount of snow, the road is usually only open from early June through mid-October so plan your trip accordingly.

2. Hell’s Canyon

This 218-mile scenic loop encompasses the Wallowa Mountains in Oregon and can take up to 8 hours to complete without stopping. If you are searching for the soul of the American west, it lays somewhere between the 2-mile high mountains and mile-deep gorges of this untamed land. Start your journey in Baker City, a gold mining town that boomed in the 1890’s and continues on through Hell’s Canyon, America’s deepest river-carved gorge. Much of the wilderness is untouched and inaccessible, but the views can be seen from June-October when the roads are open.

1. Deal’s Gap/The Dragon/Tail of the Dragon

Although it’s known by many names, this 11-mile stretch of road containing 318 hairpin curves, Deal’s Gap is one of the most coveted pieces of asphalt to lay beneath any motor vehicle. Part of US 129 and laying on the Tennessee/North Carolina state line, one can only imagine why this stretch of road has a name like “Tail of the Dragon”. Many of the curves even have their own names such as Copperhead Corner, Hog Pen Bend, Wheelie Hell, and Killboy. This is the only destination that’s not considered a “scenic” drive as you shouldn’t take your eyes off of the road! This road was meant to be ridden and given the proper respect.

As summer looms upon us — in a good way, of course! — more and more of us are thinking of hitting the road for family vacations. Vehicle safety, naturally, is a concern for those of us planning on taking road trips.

Below are three vehicles — one sedan, one SUV and one van — that have been rated in 2011 as the safest cars by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) at www.safercar.gov.

Sedans

Two 2011 model year sedans received five stars — the highest possible — as the safest cars in all categories in the NHTSA survey: the Honda Accord, four-wheel, four-wheel drive; and the Kia Optima four-door, four-wheel drive. Both received the highest ratings in the Overall, Frontal Crash, Side Crash, and Rollover categories.

The NHTSA survey mentioned that both cars received owner complaints. In addition, the Accord (but not the Kia) has a recall against it — the American Honda Company in December 2010 recalled the vehicle due to a problem in its suspension.

SUVs

No SUV surveyed received a five-star rating in all four safest cars categories. However, the 2011 Buick Enclave four- and all-wheel SUVs received five stars in the Overall and Side Crash categories and four stars in the Frontal Crash and Rollover categories.

Neither the four- or all-wheeled drive models were subject to recalls. However, both models did receive complaints regarding their power train and automatic transmission, according to the NHTSA.

Vans

No 2011 vans received five-star ratings in all four vehicle safety categories, although the Honda Odyssey four-wheel drive van earned five starts in three categories (Overall, Frontal Crash and Side Crash) while receiving four stars in the Rollover category.

Honda did recall the Odyssey twice in March for visibility issues on the windshield when using wipers. Fifty owner complaints were reported (as of June 8, 2011) and ranged from issues with the vehicle’s electrical system, exterior and interior lighting, the power train system, tire pressure monitoring and regulating systems, and more.

Increasing fuel costs continue to impact the automotive industry, influencing the way vehicles are designed and altering the priorities of buyers and manufacturers. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the field of full-size pickup trucks; hybrids and fuel efficient models are now competing on the same level as gas-fueled models and offering comparable hauling capacity in many cases. The 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid is a perfect example of this new focus on fuel economy and environmental responsibility and is likely a harbinger of future trends in the full-size pickup truck marketplace.

Reducing fuel costs
One driving force in new pickup designs is certain to be the continued pressure by consumers, environmental groups and government agencies to move to hybrid and electric technologies and alternative fuels. The 2011 Chevy Silverado Hybrid is a product of these pressures and incorporates two 60-kilowatt electric motors along with a powerful 6.0-liter 332 horsepower V-8 engine that produces 367 pound-feet of torque alone and 379 pound-feet when combined with the two electric motors. This high degree of power is necessary for towing applications, but holds down the overall fuel efficiency of the Silverado 1500 to 20 miles per gallon city and 23 miles per gallon highway. These figures represent a significant improvement for the Silverado in terms of fuel economy and can save buyers money over the life of the truck.

Towing capacity
The true test of any working pickup truck is its towing capacity. The 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 Hybrid lives up to its responsibilities in this regard and can tow a three-ton cargo trailer with ease. By way of comparison, the 6.2-liter V-8 engine on the top end Silverado LTZ can haul trailers weighing over five tons, but cannot boast the fuel economy or environmental benefits of the Hybrid model. On the road, the Silverado 1500 Hybrid delivers with superior braking capacity, stability and traction control and independent front suspension, allowing it to manage uphill climbs and curving roads while carrying its fair share of the workload. For buyers who spend much of their time driving in the city and who require only middling towing capacity, the Silverado 1500 Hybrid is a solid choice and a sign of things to come in the pickup truck manufacturing business.

Balancing the need for significant towing capacity with increasing fuel economy will factor into the concept and design of pickup trucks for the foreseeable future. This is especially true for heavy-duty pickup trucks, since their main purpose is hauling cargo and payload from place to place. Additionally, even small improvements in pickup gas mileage can have a significant effect on overall fuel expenditures and consumption due to the typically low fuel economy of these vehicles. Increasing the miles per gallon that these large, heavy-duty trucks achieve can provide benefits not only to buyers and drivers, but to the environment as a whole as well.

There are many ways to buy and sell used cars by owner, both online and offline. If you want to sell used cars by owner, it’s best to take advantage of as many different venues for selling used cars as possible in order to get the word out to the greatest number of buyers. Buyers, too, will have better luck finding the right used car by owner if they look in many different places.

Used Cars by Owner on Craigslist

Not only is Craigslist is the place most people think of first when they think about online classified ads, but it is also free to place a used car ad on the site. This makes it the ideal first choice when you have a used car to sell. Many people check Craigslist daily, looking for great deals. If the price is set at the right level, used cars sell by owner very quickly on Craigslist. This makes it more of a seller’s marketplace than a buyer’s market. However, buyers can still find great deals on used cars at Craigslist if they check the ads frequently and act quickly when they spot a bargain.

Used Cars By Private Owner on eBay Motors

On eBay Motors, you can search for used cars for sale by owner by make, model, and zip code. This allows you to easily find vehicles that are located nearby so you don’t have to drive all over the state looking at used cars. If you don’t know what make or model of vehicle you want, you can leave these options set to "all" to see all of the available options. You can even specify a year or range of years to narrow the search down a bit.

For sellers, there is no insertion fee for the first four ads you place on eBay Motors during a 12-month period. You only pay a fee if you actually sell the vehicle. The successful listing fee for a used car on eBay Motors is $60 if the selling price is $2000 or less and $125 if the final bid is over $2000.

Traditional Classified Ads

The traditional way to sell used cars by owner was by placing a classified ad in the local newspaper. This method is most effective if you live in an area with a large newspaper circulation. Some newspapers post their classified ads online where visitors can look through them without subscribing to the paper, which gives your ad more exposure.

You can often find used cars by owner for sale by looking through the ads in the classified ad magazines that are sold at gas stations and convenience stores. These magazines are usually regional in nature, offering a wider selection of vehicles than the typical newspaper while still confining listings to an area that is somewhat local.

These are just a few of the ways you can find used cars for sale by owner. There are other online classified ad sites that you can check out, and you can always find used cars by owner by keeping an eye out for cars sitting by the road with "for sale" signs as you’re out driving through the countryside.

If you drive a gas-engine car and have no plans to switch to hybrid or electric vehicle, you can still save some cash on fuel and reduce your carbon footprint at the same time. How is that possible? You should check how economical your driving habits are. You can improve your fuel economy just by paying more attention to details…

Keep a steady and reasonable pace

Car’s fuel consumption is most effective at 30-50mph. When you drive faster, more fuel is needed to combat the increasing air resistance. Try to keep the pace as long as possible – speeding and rapid braking may be more fun, but definitely less cost effective.

Don’t leave your engine idling

Idling means zero miles per gallon! So turn the engine off if you are going to be stationary for more than 15 seconds – it pays off.

Make your car lighter

Check if there are only the necessary items inside your car. Take a look in your boot and get rid of all the long-forgotten rubbish and remove the bike rack if you are not going to use it in the near future. Unfortunately the heavier the car, the more fuel it needs.

Make sure your car’s air filter are clean

The air filter prevents dirt from entering the engine. When dirty, it can increase the fuel consumption by 10 percent! Luckily, the filter is easy to clean, so you can do it yourself from time to time. Sometimes it needs replacement, but the price is not high.

Check tire pressure

Check your tires’ air pressure on regular basis. You can do it free of charge at most gas stations using an air pressure gauge and pump. Under-inflated tires mean more frequent visits to petrol station.

Reduce the use of air conditioning

The rule is simple: the more you use the A/C, the more you have to spend on fuel. However, when driving faster that 40mph, it is more fuel efficient to switch the air conditioning on and keep the windows closed in order to avoid the aerodynamic drag.

Keep fit

Have a walk or use your bike from time to time, especially if your destination is close by. It will have a positive effect not only on your wallet, but also health.

The lumbar region of the back is located in what most people would refer to as the lower spine. When you sit for long periods of time, especially in the same position, the lumbar region of your back can become quite uncomfortable.

What car lumbar pillows will do is help to give your back the extra support it needs in the proper place to help alleviate the pressure on the lumbar region.

Back pain can be some of the most debilitating pain that you will ever experience. Many people will end up choosing the option of surgery or physical therapy to help relieve the back pain.

It is much easier and less stressful to use a good quality lumbar pillow to help relieve the stress and strain on your back.

There are many good car lumbar pillows out on the market. It is fortunate that even the very best lumbar pillows really don’t cost that much money. Which comes in handy because that will allow you to buy a car lumbar pillow, a lumbar support pillow for office chairs, lumbar pillows for the bed, and lumbar support pillows for all of the chairs at your home.

Back pain is not a laughing matter. It can actually ruin your life, make it hard to walk, make it impossible to hold down a job, and make certain people homebound. Lumbar pillows is one way to help people with lower back pain live a more fulfilling life.

Car lumbar pillows will help make driving your car a more pleasant and comfortable experience.

When I think of a cheap car I am thinking of a used car. When someone from India thinks about a car that doesn’t cost very much money they are thinking about the Tata Technologies Nano.

The Nano is one of the new breed of cheap new cars that are being produced in India. If you would buy this car over in India it would only cost $2,500. But once this car gets all the fancy safety and emission equipment mandated by the US DOT the price will jump up to at least $11,000.

The estimated US price for the car might change by the time the car makes it to showrooms in the year 2011. But all in all the price tag is low enough for most Americans to afford a new car.

But not all cheap cars are new and not all cheap cars are jalopies that belong in a junkyard. If you are willing to buy a car that is two or three years old, then there is no doubt that you can get a car that has fairly low mileage at a good price. One of the main factors that help reduce the price of a used car is the depreciation that occurs on all new automobiles the moment they drive off the lot.

The way depreciation works is like this: A new car might sell for $25,000, but once it is driven off the lot by the new owner it depreciates about 15% in price. That means that the new car is now only worth about $21,200. And every year, depending on how well the car is maintained and how many mile are driven on it, it keeps decreasing in value. So it is not unrealistic to think that you can pick up that $25,000 car for $15,000 when it is 3 years old. Not bad for a fully loaded Toyota Camry or Honda Accord.

But the best deals on a cheap used car can be found with American cars. Cars that have an American name plate on them do not hold their value as well as foreign cars. The same $25,000 Ford Taurus or Chevrolet Impala can probably be picked up for $10-$12,000 3 years after it rolled off the showroom floor.

There is another major advantage to owning a cheap car and that is cheap car insurance. Used cars are not as expensive to insure as new cars. But you do have to be careful when shopping around for car insurance.

If a company is offering to sell you really cheap car insurance then you can expect the deductible on the policy to be very high. You can also expect the insurance company to be very strict when it comes to paying out any benefits on the policy. You will need to be prepared to do battle with the company. You should always remember that you get what you pay for. And with car insurance, even if it is for a cheap car, it is there to protect you and your car. Shop wisely for car ins.

When looking for cheap used cars for sale you can expect to find a better bargain from a private party compared to the prices you would find at a used car dealership. The dealer has many costs to cover that a private seller does not. There is rental on the lot, insurance, employee’s paychecks, utilities, etc… Of course if you buy from a used car lot you don’t have to worry about the car title check. And if it the car is new enough you might get a warranty with it. Besides it is nice to be able to go back to where you purchased the car just in case something goes wrong.

For a lot of people that just can’t afford the high cost of a new car a cheap used car is the best alternative. Some people can go their whole lives without ever owning a new car. They just can’t justify spending such a large sum of money on a car. They buy used cars for cheap and spend the money that they saved on other things they consider more important.

One of the things that people seem to think is very important on a used car is a good audio system. It is now normal for people to equip their cars with stereos that have 6 or 8 speakers, mp3 players, iPod jacks, and all sorts of new gadgets. Of course the new GPS systems are a necessity if you don’t want to get lost. But for most people, especially younger people, cheap car audio is not an option.

If you take your time, do your homework, and test drive lots of cars then you shouldn’t have a problem finding a good cheap car to purchase.

Don’t Overlook A Car Title Check

It is scary to think that with a large purchase, such as a car or truck, that a title that appears to have no problems can actually be fraught with danger. Without a proper car title check you may be setting yourself up for a major financial disaster. If you think I am exaggerating then you need to keep reading….I think you will change your mind.

Crime is prevalent and the creation of counterfeit or fraudulent titles is big business. There are people that make it their profession to use these worthless titles to register and sell cars that not only don’t belong to them but are actually stolen cars.

First Step: Free Car Title Check

In some states when you go down to the DMV with the car VIN number they will check the car VIN number against the title of the car you are thinking about purchasing for free. That’s right there are some states that will give you a free VIN check. In other states they will check car Vin numbers and will charge a very small sum. In either case a check of the car VIN number is a necessity.

There are several areas that you will need to make sure match up. The VIN number on the car will need to match up exactly to the VIN number on the title. If the number doesn’t match exactly then don’t buy the car.

Ask to see the sellers id. The name on the id should match the one on the title. If it doesn’t then they are not the legal owner of the car and may not have permission to sell it.

Another benefit of going to the DMV to have the car title check done is that it will show any financial obligations that are attached to the vehicle. We are talking about liens against the title. If there is a lien against the title that means that the car is not paid off. You will need to be very careful if you decide to buy the car.

If the loan doesn’t get paid off then even though you paid the seller the full amount they were asking, the bank can still and probably will repossess the car. If you are buying from a private seller who advertised used cars by owner this could complicate the transfer of the title and make registration next to impossible.

Be very careful. Make sure the transaction is completed at the same bank that is holding the lien on the title. Also make sure that the money owed on the car is paid and that the bank agrees to release the lien. Do not take anybody’s word for anything. You need to be there and witness the cash changing hands.

No matter how careful you are and no matter how clean the title appears to be it could still have problems.

Here are some things that should raise a red flag in your mind about the title.

If the car or truck had recently been transported into your area from another state and is newly titled, that is a warning sign.

If the VIN number on the car appears in anyway not to be perfectly legible or shows any signs of tampering that is a red flag.

Most titles have watermarks. A title is an official document and should look like one. If you have any doubts have the DMV, the police, and the state the car came from check out the VIN number. You can’t be too careful.

An official document will have sharp and clear text, graphics and edges. If anything on the title is blurred or not clear you will need to be very careful before proceeding with the purchase.

If you are unsure about the “look” of the title then you should compare it against an original title from the same state. Ask a friend, family member, or even the police if they will compare it for you.

There is no doubt that a VIN number check is your best defense against someone trying to sell a stolen car. Make it a point when buying a car to have a car title check done before any money changes hands.
